Term 3

Hey everyone Welcome to Term 3 Im really sorry about how terrible my other pages are, I promise to make it better :) 

Here Is My first task concerning web 2.0 :

WEB 2.0 – WEB 3.0

Web 2.0 was an update to the first version of the World Wide Web, it increased user friendliness between a user and a computer adding features such as video players, photographic slideshows, audio clips and other types of media files that allow users to engage in social activity.

Web 3.0 is the second update to the World Wide Web it includes more intelligent A.I. in search engines that according to “HowStuffWorks.com” allows you to “make tasks like your search for movies and food faster and easier. Instead of multiple searches, you might type a complex sentence or two in your Web 3.0 browser, and the Web will do the rest. In our example, you could type "I want to see a funny movie and then eat at a good Mexican restaurant. What are my options?" The Web 3.0 browser will analyze your response, search the Internet for all possible answers, and then organize the results for  you.”

Today, web 2.0 allows users to create their own Web Pages to increase usability and search variety. Web Pages like Wiki-Spaces and Blog Spot allow users to create their own Blog where they can post updates and happenings in their life

At the moment the people that use web 2.0 is the general population of the planet. Children, Adults, senior citizens, everybody all are using the web for different reasons. Children for School work and personal entertainment with websites such as Facebook or YouTube,

 adults for research, Work and Client social networking with websites such as LinkedIn. Senior Citizens for personal use such as keeping in contact with family and friends with websites like Skype.

The advantages of Web 2.0 are that it increases usability. One doesn’t need to know computer coding and binary to be able to use the internet. It also makes it more engaging for children since Web Pages are more visually based instead of reading based allowing young kids to understand.

The disadvantages of Web 2.0 is that with this freedom online it also permits certain illegal activity such as cyber attacks where a user “hacks” another user to gain access or to corrupt ones information. There is small ability to prevent such attacks since “hacking” is designed to overpass cyber walls and antivirus software.

As a student web 2.0 helps me because it allows me access to different forms of data as well as text. Such as images and videos which I am able to attach to a presentation to help those visually impaired to understand my work. It also gives me access to software that I can download and use as a processing tool.

Hello Everyone! New post for you guys this one is concerning our areas of interaction here at the school :)

Approaches to Learning:

Some questions that students are encouraged to ask themselves whenever creating a reflection on their work are “How Do I Learn Best?”, “How Do I Know?”, and “How Do I Communicate My Understanding?”

These questions are designed to make a student think critically on whether or not the path they have chosen is correct. To further explain, students studying the International Baccalaureate are taught to follow a different path to better suit their form of learning. A motto often used for this AOI is “Learning How to Learn” this shows how students aren't taught the answers but taught how to find the answers themselves through critical thinking. I for one am a Read and Write learner where to fully understand something I must read it off a paper or write it down in order for my mind to process and understand the information. Which is the path I would take when faced with work.

I feel that during this subject I was very lazy and did not work to my full potential
